Salah satu alasan utama gw develop platform ini adalah karena persepsi kebanyakan orang tentang kerjaan anakbrand yang hanyalah tentang per-markom-an doang. Padahal, kalo diliat dari artikel sebelumnya, kerjaan anakbrand jauh lebih luas dari itu. Ada tentang strategi, research, sales, dll. Bahkan, anakbrand juga kudu ngerti FINANCE!
Hah? Kenapa gitu?
Bayangin aja, dari mulai develop campaign, pastinya aktivitas ini makan banyak duit perusahaan, harus direncanakan dan di-manage sedemikian rupa sehingga sesuai kebutuhan dan bisa dipertanggungjawabkan. Terkait produk baru, percuma punya konsep yang luar biasa kalo pada akhirnya ga bisa kasih profit ke perusahaan, so perlu dianalisa juga aspek finansialnya.
Ga cuma secara konseptual, kita juga perlu ngerti proses management finance di perusahaan kaya gimana, karena mau gamau kita harus bisa ikutin setiap langkahnya sehingga spending brand kita bisa selalu align dengan target finansial perusahaan secara keseluruhan. Buat yang udah ngalamin jadi anakbrand, pasti ngerti banget betapa akrabnya kita sama anak-anak finance dimasa budget planning, quarterly budget review, atau dalam momen mahapenting yaitu closing akhir tahun.
Pada intinya, banyak dari kerjaan anakbrand yang akan berkaitan sama tim finance juga, dan kalo kita ga ‘menguasai’ ilmu ini, gimana kita bisa berdiskusi? Gimana kita bisa debat kalo masukan tim finance ga sesuai dengan kebutuhan brand?
